Buffalo Spree recently sent me to hang out with the crew from Extra Extra Pizza, Buffalo's first tipless and cooperatively owned pizza joint (and a fantastic addition to the Five Points Neighborhood)⁠ Founders Bridget, Joey, and Soon Ho serve top-notch slices and drinks at their self-described "aggressively casual" restaurant and bar but also want to provide a means for service industry veterans and newcomers alike to have rewarding and long-term sustainable careers. At Extra Extra, workers have a path to co-ownership after 18 months of employment and being trained on all restaurant stations.
