Mick Hayes - My Claim to Fame
Mick Hayes - My Claim to Fame

Mick Hayes isn't just a musician; he's a storyteller. He pours his soul into every note he plays. His music, an amazing blend of blues, soul, and rock, feels like it comes straight from the heart.
Growing up in Lackawanna, NY, a steel town just outside of BUffalo, Mick found comfort in the blues. As he listened to those old records, something clicked within him that he has carried with him to today. Mick has played with some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Deep Purple, Stevie Wonder, and the Doobie Brothers. Throughout his career, he has experienced his fair share of ups and downs in this crazy business, but he has always kept that fire burning inside.

I’ve been fortunate enough to work with Mick on two of his albums. The first was 'GuitaR&B,' and then we collaborated on 'My Claim to Fame.' For 'My Claim to Fame,' we had a fantastic time creating the album artwork and promo materials. Mick is a huge car enthusiast, so we did some incredible shots featuring him with a garage full of classic cars. These images perfectly captured his personality and the vibe of the album.
'My Claim to Fame,' recorded at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, is a powerful record. FAME Studios is where legends were born—Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, and Otis Redding all recorded there. The studio has an incredible history and soul, and Mick's music shines in that space. It was a milestone for him to record in a studio so saturated with musical history.

Now based in Nashville, Mick continues to evolve as an artist. He is always pushing himself and striving to connect with his fans on a deeper level while making deeply personal music.
